Wolf and Cub on the Road with Jonathan Boulet
Wolf & Cub will join Jonathan Boulet as main support for his national tour everywhere except Adelaide and Perth.
Having just released their
double A-side single ‘Shut Me Out’ //‘Got Nothing Coming’ with their typical swampy swagger and swaying guitar tones, Wolf & Cub warm up for a slot on the sold out Splendour in the Grass festival after the Boulet dates this coming July.
“Touring is generally shit tonnes of fun," Wolf & Cub’s Joel Byrne says. "You're travelling, playing shows, meeting people etc – it's essentially a working holiday. It can however, be horrible though and many factors can be responsible. A major factor is the company you keep, If you're touring with a band you don't respect, admire or even like then you're going to have problems. Thankfully we have the honor of being invited to tour with an act that easily fits into the criteria of what, for us makes a good tour. We admire, respect and actually, really like Jonathan Boulet, so this will be a pretty decent tour.”
Jono and his band hit the road in celebration of his brand new album,
We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart – released earlier this month on Modular Recordings. Featuring the singles ‘This Song is Called Ragged’ and ‘Trounce’, the album has already picked up triple j’s Featured Record and FBi Radio’s Album of the Week.
