The Offspring for Soundwave?

It appears another band has slipped through the seemingly gaping cracks of Australia’s worst kept secret, the Soundwave 2013 lineup.

Earlier this afternoon Triple M Sydney released a blurred photo on their Facebook page, hinting at another headline act for the ever-growing Soundwave festival. The sleuths over at Music Feeds quickly identified the (not terribly well disguised) muso as the Offspring frontman, Dexter Holland. With Triple M admitting that they've seen the lineup but are sworn to secrecy, it's worth noting that the image has since been removed.



Adding to fuel to the fire is a tweet from Herald Sun’s Nui Ta Koha late last week, which stated ‘Soundwave: The Offspring will play. Travis Barker will tour Australia with Blink 182’.

Well, we now know he's got the second point right, so the odds are looking high for an Offspring return. The official festival lineup is due to be released tomorrow morning, but with the help of the rumour mill that is social media, who knows? More secrets may just be spilt overnight.
