Forget the rumours and hearsay, it’s time to turn up the hysteria, let's go crazy, etc. Prince is touring Australia NEXT MONTH.
Ever since stories started surfacing about a possible tour last year, we’ve been hitting the refresh button on our inbox and waiting to hear if the Purple One would be gracing our shores for a third time. Originally rumoured to be touring Australia as part of the 2012 Big Day Out, Van Egmond Group and Chugg Entertainment have locked Prince in to play Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in mid-May, and he’s bringing his kick-arse band and special stage along for the ride. According to promoters, Prince will entertain with a huge full scale arena production, which we’re told will include groundbreaking technology and a complete 360 degree stage.
Happily, tickets prices start at $99, which is a nice change from what we're used to paying to see top-drawer international acts. Second shows have already been announced for Sydney and Melbourne so fingers crossed for Brisbane.
Tickets are onsale now. For all the details check out the official Australian Prince tour website at
princetour.com.au or fan out on the official
Australian tour facebook page.
