Harvest Festival Lineup 'Imminent'
UPDATE (12/6): It has just been announced on the Harvest Presents Facebook page that the lineup will be released this Thursday! Last chance to place your bets.
Let Operation Harvest Watch begin.
Word in the Twitterverse is that the lineup for Harvest Festival’s sophomore run will be announced as early as this week, or the start of next week.
Promoter AJ Maddah set sirens blaring yesterday, tweeting:
Debuting in a flailing festival scene last year, Harvest managed to sell out events by bringing Portishead to Australia after a 14-year absence and pulling together a beefy lineup that included local and international musical heavyweights (The National, Holy Fuck, Flaming Lips and Bright Eyes, anyone?).
This year, all eyes are on the festival and its organisers, as we wait in suspense for another mindblowing lineup announcement. With tours announced for later this year, Sigur Ros, Grimes, the Dandy Warhols and My Bloody Valentine are all hot tips, but if history has told us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected.
It was revealed earlier this month that the festival will take place in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane from November 10 – 18. While Melbourne’s date is still under wraps, Maddah also let slip on Twitter that Sydney’s event will take place on Saturday 17 November, and Brisbane’s on Sunday 18 November.
Keep an eye on Everguide for further details as they drop.
