Grizzly Bear Tipped for Harvest Festival
**FRIDAY JUNE 8 UPDATE**
Grizzly Bear's record label, Warp, have confirmed they will definitely be playing Harvest by listing the dates on their website. Although the dates have since been taken down, Harvest tour promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed on Twitter that Grizzly Bear will be performing in Melbourne.
The rumour mill for Harvest Festival continues to turn, with Brooklyn’s Grizzly Bear tipped to appear after announcing a string of shows across the Tasman in late November.
Aussie fans recently got a taste of what’s to come from the indie-folk geniuses, with ‘Sleeping Ute’ - the first single off their forthcoming album - released on Youtube only yesterday (see it below).
To coincide with this release the band have announced a host of tour dates across Europe and Australasia. While Australia is notably absent from the list, the spacing of the dates points strongly at an appearance at Harvest.
You’d be tempted to pencil them in, with their last show in Europe on November 5, before their first show across the Tasman in New Zealand on November 20. Harvest Festival kicks off in Melbourne on November 10 and concludes in Brisbane on November 18, leaving plenty of times for a series of mouth-watering sideshows.
GRIZZLY BEAR TOUR DATES:
2 November - Köln, Germany
3 November - Paris, France
4 November - Brussels, Belgium
5 November - Amsterdam, Holland
20 November - Wellington, New Zealand
21 November - Auckland, New Zealand
Harvest promoter AJ Maddah has hinted that the full lineup will be announced next week, so it will be only days until rumours become fact or fiction.
