After a unique festival experience where you can stuff your face with food and culture? Or maybe you just want to celebrate the end of spring in wine country, surrounded by various cheeses. Lucky for you then, the organisers behind Gorgeous Festival have announced its return to McLaren Vale in 2012.

Not to be perturbed by a recent bout of festival closures in South Australia, the food, wine and music festival will take place on Saturday 24 November. With last year’s musical acts including Josh Pyke, Icehouse and Busby Marou, we can no doubt look forward to an equally solid lineup, due to be announced on July 30.

And luckily for all you hungry, hungry hippos, ticket prices have dropped to $88 (plus booking fee), with VIP tickets going for $198.

Festival founder Alistair Cranney hopes the event will showcase McLaren Vale and its diverse products: “I think it’s important not to just rely on the music scene to make a festival successful, but to offer something unique for guests to enjoy”. Mr Cranney, our bellies thank you.

Gorgeous Festival will take place no Saturday 24 November. For full details head to gorgeousfestival.com.au
