* UPDATE 8/10 *
Steve Aoki has cancelled his DJ set at Platinum Nightclub in Broadbeach, Queensland this Wednesday, and Future Entertainment have apologised to the venue with promises of a 'sideshow' in March 2013. Venting their disappointment on the
Platinum Nightclub facebook page, the venue seems to have inadvertently leaked Aoki for the Future Music Festival lineup as the festival takes place in the same month. The lineup will be officially released this Wednesday 10 October at 9am.

We're still banking on the acts below to feature in Wednesday's big reveal, but only time will tell if a career change to Professional Sleuths is in order.....

Future Entertainment is a big company. They’re so big, they get to do lotsa cool stuff, like say, host numerous music festivals. Future Entertainment actually run (or are involved with) Summadayze, Summafieldayze, Shore Thing, Hot BBQ, Godskitchen, Winter Sound System, Parklife as well as many club shows and tours. With
Summadayze and
Shore Thing out of the way for announcements, Future Music Festival is the biggest card in the deck yet to be played. With
several acts suggested in our last article actually confirmed for some of these festivals, and an upcoming lineup they’ve described as full of ‘All-Stars’, we’ve decided to fuel the rumours.
NEW TO THE RUMOURMILL*
Die Antwoord
The XX (have said they’ll be coming back in 2013)
Azealia Banks (appears three times on FE website, due to return soon)
Rita Ora (confirmed for promo tour, no doubt will be followed by a bigger tour soon after)
Madeon
Kill the Noise
Seth Troxler

So you may be sitting there with suspicious, squinty eyes as we bring you yet another
Future Music Festival rumour piece. “Heaps of those acts you suggested last time were announced for other lineups,” you say. “You guys don’t know shit,” you say. Well. Let us assess the facts, and we can all reach our own conclusions on said ‘shit’ and who knows it ...
