Even Cynics Will Cry When The Beach Boys Come To Town in August
The Beach Boys have announced their Australian dates for their 50th Anniversary tour for Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane. The first shows of their worldwide tour have already happened and there’re
reviews from the
NY Times and live footage for you cynics to judge. But it’s time to put your scepticism away guys, ‘cos when the Beach Boys come town it’s going to be phenomenal. There’s a good chance you’re going to cry. Tickets on sale Wednesday 13 June through Ticketek.
That’s Why God Made The Radio is Beach Boys 29th studio album celebrating their reunification and the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys as a band. There are many who would be cringing at the thought of a new record from a band whose members will all be in their 70s by the end of the year, but some of the tracks might surprise you. Sure, a few songs are totally skippable, but there are definitely a few that will take you back to the land of the Beach Boys. You can pre-order and preview the album
via Amazon. If songs like ‘Think About The Days’, ‘From There To Back Again’ and ‘Summer’s Gone’ don’t prick tears in your eyes you clearly have a heart of stone. Hearing these old legends singing and harmonising about no longer being young is kind of heartbreaking. It really is like they’re ‘catching one more wave’.
CBS had an awesome chat to them about it all.
