Artist Applications Open for Peats Ridge
If you’re a musician sitting and waiting for your big break, a rare opportunity, that moment of truth, your time may have just come. The Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival is back this year and organisers are currently accepting artist applications.
Situated in the Glenworth Valley, between Newcastle and Sydney, the festival is staged over three nights from December 29 to January 1 and features not only music, but arts, theatre, comedy and contemporary dance performances.
The successful applicants will perform alongside some Australia’s most prolific bands, with their entire set being streamed live to YouTube.
Peats Ridge has helped ignite the careers of some of Australia’s most popular bands, including Angus and Julia Stone, The Jezabels, Kate Miller–Heidke, Cloud Control, Blue King Brown and The Temper Trap.
With over 1,000 applications for the 2011 edition, Peats Ridge is expecting another huge influx of applications from undiscovered local and international acts. If you’re keen to apply you’ll need to hurry, ‘cos applications won’t be accepted after Thursday 2 August.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to perform at the festival, submit an application, along with a CD or demo online at
