We all thought the Splendour acts were going to bypass Adelaide, but Spin Off happened and we had to shut our traps. The inaugural festival came about when the SITG folk put their heads together with 5/4 Entertainment to get the scoop on international acts like Lana Del Ray, who performed her first Australian show over the weekend. We also caught other buzzed acts including Band of Skulls and Brooklyn-based Friends. Not to mention some of the hottest Aussie acts going around at the moment including Kimbra, Bloc Party’s new favourite band Last Dinosaurs, young punks and all around good guys Bleeding Knees Club, internationally hyped thrash-pop duo DZ Deathrays, eternal party starters Yacht Club DJ’S and next big things The Rubens. It was a great day sure to make every other state super jealous.
