The Australian went for "
shameless and often highly entertaining cabaret." While the
Sydney Morning Herald had a few criticisms, their reviewer, George Palathingal, was still moved to say "
I nonetheless hope to one day bother my grandchildren with tales of the electrifying solo sequence of him singing as he triggered sampled backing tracks from some of my favourite songs."
And that was just the first concert, nevermind the second on Saturday, which featured a completely different setlist (below). Or the Ivy afterparty, which saw appearances from
Seal and Flavor Flav.
