Overnight, we received the sad news of Donna Summers passing, aged 63. But this morning, one of Boney M's founding members gave solace to Australian disco fans, telling ABC radio that the group will be touring in October.
"I'm hoping to come down in October," the group's Liz Mitchell said on Radio National Breakfast this morning by phone from Germany. "We were there about two years ago, everything went really beautiful and we had a great time (so) it's just about fixing the dates now."
Mitchell worked with Donna Summer in the German cast of the musical 'Hair' in the early 70s, and joined Boney M in 975, going on to be part of monstrous hits like 'Ma Baker' and of course 'Daddy Cool'.
Since the passing of original male member Bobby Farrell in 2010 the band aren't the force they once were, but if they're still getting around like this, they'll be worth seeing...
