Lingerie Football League Australia Announces Open Tryouts
Remember when the internet momentarily broke when we announced that the
Lingerie Football League would be touring Australia in June? Don't pretend you don't, we've got the stats. Since then, LFL organisers have also announced that they'll be introducing an Australian franchise of the fantasy sport, expected to commence its premier season in December 2012. Now as you know, you can't play a game of Monopoly without pawn pieces (yes, even though the thimble sucks), which is similarly why LFL organisers have opened a national search to enlist potential players, announcing open tryout sessions in Brisbane and Sydney later this month. Or as we're unofficially calling them - Victoria's Secret Models Gone Wild.
So form an orderly queue, ladies. Lingerie Football League Australia wants you and your best bustier.
Yes, if you're a female athlete who's had a gutful of intolerable synthetic guernseys and is looking for a stripped back change, then this opportunity is for you. LFL Australia strongly encourages candidates to come prepared to participate in strength, speed and agility drills (
duh), equipped in suitable athletic attire (ideally a sports bra and shorts combo – we hear Lorna Jane do pretty good ensembles) with cleats/studs, and finally, a photo of themselves (sadly, they need not be autographed).
The first open tryout will be held on May 31 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 7pm to 10pm, followed by a second session held in Sydney on June 7 at Allphones Arena, again from 7pm to 10pm. Tryouts for Melbourne and Perth will be announced later in the year.
If you are planning on trying out for this gig, we suggest you invest in some Hollywood tape now, then wait for the
Ahh Bra endorsements to start rolling in.
