Westlife's Final Concert Ever
With a new generation of boy bands well and truly taking over the globe,
Westlife have decided it’s time to leave their routines with the naturally baby-faced and give up a life of lovelorn gazes and matching ensembles.
Yep, their final concert EVER is less than a month away. If this news makes you sad, gather up your buddies, tissues and memorabilia, because the concert is coming TO A CINEMA NEAR YOU. Westlife are bowing out with a sold-out-in-minutes final show in Dublin which is going to be screened live at more than 200 cinemas across the globe, Australia included. Venues hosting the concert are yet to be announced, however with 14 years and 44 million records under the band’s collective belts, we reckon they’ll be snapped up pretty quickly.
In recent years Westlife’s music has come to represent something Mum or Gran might want for Christmas (no doubt thanks to that cover of ‘You Raise Me Up’), but back when Brian McFadden was still in the band and they were co-managed by Ronan Keating (of Boyzone, LOL), Westlife were unanimously accepted by girls around the world as The Ultimate Boyfriends. Let’s not forget the fuzzy feeling that came when ‘World of Our Own’ popped up on Video Hits and the band did the one-hand-on-heart thing, and asked us “What am I doing without you?”
Stay tuned for ticket announcements. In the meantime, join us in reminiscing about how much of a dreamboat Brian McFadden and co. were by watching the official video for 'When You’re Looking Like That'. There are so many notable moments in this clip, but our favourite part is when Brian pulls out the pretend-kick-to-the-camera move. In actual running runners. You'd better believe it.
