The Woollahra Festival of Arts and Ideas Returns for 2011

There's no such thing as too many festivals, especially when they're right on our doorstep.

The second Woollahra Festival of Arts and Ideas is on from November 10-13, bringing with it a huge line-up (and by huge we mean a collective of 165 speakers and performers over four days - huge), all based in and around Queen Street.

Here to tickle your grey matter are Malcolm Turnbull, David Gonski, Kate Grenville and a host of other speakers, tackling hot topics such as The 2012 US Election, Brain Plasticity, People Power in the Middle East and Tackling Bullies.

Perhaps your life is already too serious and you'd rather work your stomach muscles at a comedy debate, fill your stomach with some good food or better yet, or learn how to cook to satisfy the stomachs of others (sure to impress that special someone... or your mother).

And if sitting indoors isn't really your style, then Queen Street itself will be buzzing with markets and a free program of music, comedy and street performance. Check out the crazy circus tricks, catch some soulful jazz tunes and be inspired by music from all around the world.

But best of all, by showing up you'll be taking part in an event that is all about the community, with around half of the performers and speakers coming from the broader Eastern Sydney Area.

Check out woollahrafestival.com.au and make your bookings online.
