RocKwiz to Set Off on National Tour
As evidenced by the plague-like levels of pub trivia nights, peeps love a quiz. They also tend to be partial to music, and LOLs. In a stroke of pure programming genius, SBS One began airing RocKwiz in 2005, and over the last seven years Australians have been verbally abusing their TVs with their music knowledge on a weekly basis. Now you’ll be able enjoy the full RocKwiz experience IRL with the RocKwiz – Some Kind Of Genius national tour, which takes off around the country from late August.
Endearing host Julia Zemiro and odd-ball co-host Raymond J. Bartholemuez (oh sorry, that’d be Brian Nankervis) will be heading out of their home at The Espy and into theatres across Australia on a two month tour, with contestants to be selected from the audience. This is your chance to prove you’re not just a musical genius in your lounge room!
The live show will be bigger, louder and longer with more songs, guests and quizzes than the TV version. Let’s be honest, it’s probably going to be a little more ‘brazen’ than the broadcast with a larger capacity for guests to ‘cut loose’, so to speak. With shows in all capital cities and selected regional centres, and at least three months notice, you have plenty of opportunity to grab a ticket and do you prep. Let the Googling and Spotifying begin.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 14 June at 9am.
