Signed Tees Planted in Vinnies Stores
Easter draws nearer with each passing day (you can already buy hot cross buns in the supermarket, what's with that?) reminding us that the search for chocolate is on. Oh, and Jesus. But why waste your time hunting for empty calories when you could be on the prowl for T-shirts signed by your favourite bands and artists?
Starting today, you can take part in Australia's largest treasure hunt across Vinnies
stores. The location of the much-coveted apparel is completely random, scattered throughout any of the 600 stores countrywide. The tees don't cost a whole lot and the proceeds go to supporting your local Vinnies charity, so not only will you look flash in your one-of-a-kind collector's item, but your contribution also goes to helping people who need it the most.
Maybe your favourite band has signed a tee (Chromeo signed a hat, spoil sports). Jinja Safari? Yep. Papa vs Pretty? Definitely. Two Door Cinema Club? You know it. Lily Allen? Well, no, unfortunately. The whole list of bands and artists can be found on the Signed Finds Facebook page
And speaking of the Facebook page, if you're savvy enough to track one down, you can post a pic of you and your prize and join The Lucky Hunters Hall of Fame. Internet stardom awaits!
The race is on, folks. If you're unlucky enough to preside in Melbourne, this writer is your opponent and he has a reputation for playing mean. Nothing stands between me and The Holidays tee, you hear?
