Luminous, Darling Quarter, May 18
Luminous at Darling Harbour was turned on last Friday and is now the world's largest interactive lighting display. Sydney will be treated to the lighting display six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday. Community groups, local and international artists will be commissioned to create work for Luminous with Ramus (who creates the lighting installations for the Sydney Opera House and Fed Square) to be the first artist's work on display until December. Visitors are able to interact with the 557 LCD screens through consoles which are already programmed with popular games such as Big Snake, Pong, Finger Paint, Kangaroo Crossing, Gyro Dance and Plasma.
