Red Bull's Search for Australia's Best B-Boy
Have you got the skills to dominate the dance floor? Can you flip, twist and spin with Spiderman’s ease? Are you from Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane?
If you answered yes, yes and yes, you've gotta audition for
Red Bull BC One in their search to find Australia’s best b-boy. The renowned international breaking competition will see more than 52 countries battling it out to find the world’s top 16 b-boys, who’ll compete in the final in Rio de Janeiro, Braaaazil.
Aussie b-boys can compete in the Red Bull BC One ‘cypher’ (dance code for qualifier) in each state, and the top three will progress to the national final in Melbourne on Sunday 19 August.
The Aussie winner will be crowned and go through to the regional qualifier, versing Asia Pacific’s best in New Zealand this September. The champ of
that round then scores a trip to Brazil in December and the opportunity to compete for the big one – the Red Bull BC One title.
If your idea of killer moves involve starting with the sprinkler, transitioning into the running man and rounding out with some Melbourne shuffle, you might want to brush up on your skillz by taking part in a series of workshops run by special guests, including b-boy Roxrite who was last year’s Red Bull BC One world champ.
